Frequently asked questions
What does it cost?
Sport together is free. You only pay for the class or the court, directly to the provider.
Do I need to speak Dutch?
No. Groups marked ‘In English’ or ‘NL + English’ are run in English. At clubs themselves the language is often Dutch; our guide for internationals lists clubs where internationals are welcome or classes are in English.
Is it safe?
You always meet at a sports venue or a public place, never at someone's home. Others only see your first name and emoji. If something feels wrong, you can report and block; we look at every report.
How do Dutch sports clubs work?
At a club (vereniging) you become a member and pay a yearly or monthly fee, and you can usually try a few times for free first. Gyms, studios and climbing halls also sell single visits.
